Cookie Dough Balance Bar Review

I've been eying this Cookie Dough Balance Bar since I opened my Voxbox yesterday!

Its absolutely jam packed with awesomeness. 15 grams of protein plus 23 vitamins and minerals for only 210 calories. That's not too bad, if I say so myself!

I took it with me when I walked down to the local park this morning to fuel up for the day. I've tried a couple different types of protein bars before with mixed success. What usually gets me is how big they are. That typical protein bar taste and texture is okay, but the other bars I've tried were so large that by the end I felt kind of sick from it and couldn't finish. Thankfully this Balance Bar was the perfect size for me! It was big enough to feel substantial and fill me up without being so big it became a chore to finish it.

The flavor is pretty good. Its obviously not a candy bar or any other sweet treat, so don't go into it expecting that, but it was overall pleasant. I wouldn't call it overly cookie dough-y but the intended flavor was obvious enough. The texture was kind of thick and a bit grainy, which didn't really surprise me.

Overall I really enjoyed it! Protein bars are never going to be an amazing, jaw-droppingly delicious experience but this one was definitely good enough to eat. A box of six bars is only $5, which is a total steal for how nutritious they are. I'm going to pick up a box asap, probably either Peanut Butter or Caramel Nut blast. They both sound like flavors I'd enjoy even more than Cookie Dough.
