Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner Review

My first sample from Skosay arrived at the beginning of May and I finally feel like its time to review my Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner!

This eyeliner is available in Black, Sparkling Black, Brown, Purple, Blue, and Nude. Skosay members were randomly sent either Black or Nude and I ended up receiving Black. Scandaleyes liner is advertised as "waterproof, smudge-proof, sweat-proof, heat-proof, humidity-proof and scandal- proof". It definitely lives up to these claims!

It swatches beautifully and really just glides onto my skin. Unfortunately the pencil is really just too soft for me to be able to use it much on my lids. It doesn't hold a point well for me and tends to get smushed down really easily. If you have a lighter hand it'll probably work better for you. It stays pretty well on my lower waterline but has a habit of transferring if I put it on the top.

Remember how I said it lives up to the claims of being super long lasting? This is after scrubbing pretty hard at the swatch for about a minute with Garnier micellar water, my preferred makeup remover. It really stays on and never budged at all, just got a little lighter. I had to pull out my Makeup Eraser and scrub at it hard for a bit longer to get it to go away.

While this will be totally perfect for some people, Scandaleyes Eyeliner is way too sturdy for my everyday look. I'm a little clumsy and almost always end up needing to touch up, clean, and fix my liner a bunch of times before I finish my makeup. If you have a steadier hand or use a different makeup remover and like pencils this liner will probably work great for you! I'm going to save it for special occasions where I really need some extra oomph and lasting power.
