Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Weightless Face Sunscreen Review

I got my first sample from Crowdtap late last month and I've been enjoying my Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Weightless Face Sunscreen ever since!

Isn't it just so cute? I love the swirls of color!

Its been a while since I last tried face sunscreen and, honestly, I really do avoid sunscreen far more than I should. I'm used to the thick white greasy sunscreen of my childhood that made my skin sticky and clung to my clothes. For a few months I've been thinking about trying some modern face sunscreen so Crowdtap's sampling opportunity came at the perfect time!

Oh, if only this was taken at a real beach...

Unfortunately I live in Idaho, where it keeps on snowing in April and May. Its been too cold to spend a lot of time outdoors, but we managed to head down to the park and the river a few times to give it a few tries out in the sun all day. I have to admit I was a bit worried and didn't expect too much but sunscreen has come such a long way! Though you can still get brands that aren't entirely pleasant, Silk Hydration really lives up to its name and the promise of being Weightless!

It has that familiar Hawaiian Tropic smell, which I find comforting in a way, without any of the problems one might expect or worry about with sunscreen. I had no trouble getting it to rub into my skin and once it was, I couldn't even tell it was there. There was no mess, no stickiness, and it caused no issues with my makeup at all. Even after reapplying I didn't have any issues.

My skin is super sensitive and fair so I burn like crazy and have to be careful with which products I use. Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Weightless Face Sunscreen caused no redness, dryness, breakouts, or any other issues and, of course, I didn't burn! The bottle is small enough to easily fit into a bag or purse but still has plenty of product to last. I think I my have found the face sunscreen for me!
